Clean Your Green evolved out of our love for our community and our commitment to making it a great place to live.

It began with the simple act of cleaning up and turning one small corner of our city into a bright, vibrant green space. We went out picking garbage, tilling soil, pruning hedges and planting flowers and came in with a renewed sense of pride and ownership in the well-being of our community.

We knew we couldn’t stop there and so we began Clean Your Green.

Clean Your Green is now an annual initiative with activities that are designed to:

• create positive change in our community
• bring the community together to take action
• help ensure everyone has a decent place to live

This year’s Plant It Forward initiative accomplishes these goals by:

• creating a beautiful field of flowers in the heart of our city to mark the arrival of spring
• inviting all citizens and community groups to get involved in making the display flowers
• raising money for Habitat for Humanity to help a deserving family get decent housing

We encourage everyone to take action and take pride in their community. Whether you take time to clean your own green, get involved with a Clean Your Green activity, make a donation or support the businesses who are making positive changes, getting involved is easy.

We are very thankful for the support of the individuals, community groups and businesses that step forward and help Clean Your Green and Habitat for Humanity. Together, we can make a difference.
